Unfortunately members of our society live in poverty and do not have any access to healthcare. Such individuals in this circumstance enter emergency rooms when it is too late. The pathology of the disease or illness is in a late stage making death inevitable. As people we need to value all humanity. Who are the faces of poverty? What circumstances has caused their poverty? Perhaps by taking a moment to know the faces of poverty some humility will develop leading to changes in healthcare.
